Workers Compensation

Protection for your employees.

Updated Office Hours!

Our Agency is taking proactive steps to help protect the health and well-being of our employees, clients and industry partners alike.  Effective immediately we will be closing the office completely until such time that allows us to reopen. We have always invested in technology that allows us to operate outside of a traditional office setting which will allow us to continue to serve all clients needs while keeping our employees safe during this health pandemic.  We will be checking our voicemails remotely throughout the day so feel free to leave a message.  We also have access to both our email as well as our cell phones during this difficult time. We will get back to you as soon as we can if we do not answer right away.

Please be assured that you always have the ability to access all of your policy information via the carriers that we have you insured with at any time.  Simply logon at the carriers site or their mobile app.  Each app is a free download from your own app store if you don't have it already.  In both you have full access to your policy information including ID cards and billing.  Any bills can be paid in either the sites or their respective apps or by calling us or the carrier directly.  We realize that this may be an inconvenience for some and hope this is a short-lived response to our current healthcare situation as we do enjoy when all clients and partners come into the office.  Thank you for your consideration and please stay healthy!

Workers Compensation

Workers compensation coverage indemnifies workers for injuries arising out of or during the course of employment. The coverage is required by law in every state and is provided either through private insurance or, in a few states, through a regulated compensation fund. Benefits generally include medical expenses, death benefits, lost wages, and vocational rehabilitation.  Workplace safety is an important part of controlling the cost of workers' compensation insurance. Insurance companies offer a variety of programs to help employers reduce or eliminate losses.

Workers' compensation is a complex coverage. Each state is the primary regulator of their own rules governing benefits, coverage, and premium calculation. So business owners operating in multiple states must understand the unique requirements of each jurisdiction. Also, premium calculations are based on a number of factors such as the class of business, payroll amount, lost cost modifiers, and experience modifiers. Plus, insurance companies generally offer a number of different rating plans.

Coverage Parts

There are usually two parts to a workers' compensation insurance policy. The first part of the policy transfers liability for all mandated benefits from the employer to the insurance company. The second part provides coverage to employees for work-related injury and illness that is not specifically required by law. Part two is an important liability protection for the business owner and is subject to the limits and conditions of the policy.
